Preserving India's cultural heritage through intelligent robotics and autonomous innovation.
Team Yantrax was born from a simple observation: India holds thousands of years of history, but the resources to guide, document, and preserve it are stretched thin. Museums need tireless guides. Archaeological sites need careful mapping. Manuscripts need digitization. One person can't do all three at once—but a robot can.
As three students passionate about both technology and culture, we saw the World Robot Olympiad Future Innovators as the perfect platform to build something meaningful. Not just a robot that works in controlled environments, but one that could operate completely offline, speak Indian languages, and serve real institutions in real conditions.
Yantrax is the result. It's built on a Jetson Orin Nano, runs on ROS 2 Humble, and requires no internet connection. Every subsystem—perception, understanding, action—happens locally, making it deployable anywhere, even in heritage sites with zero connectivity.
Most robots depend on cloud services. They need internet to function, to process images, to generate responses. That's a luxury many museums and archaeological sites in India simply don't have.
Offline AI is harder. It means every model must fit on modest hardware. Every inference must be fast. Every bit of intelligence must be carefully engineered. But it's also more resilient, more private, and more respectful of the institutions we serve. Yantrax operates by these principles.
Systems & Autonomy
Daivik designs the robot's brain—the navigation stack, sensor integration, and real-time decision-making. He believes machines should feel like guides, not machines.
AI & Computer Vision
Jeshwanth builds the models that let Yantrax see and understand. Offline AI is his specialty—squeezing state-of-the-art perception into 8GB of VRAM.
Design & Heritage
Juhitha ensures every interaction feels human. She works closely with museums and historians to understand how a robot can serve heritage, not overshadow it.
We're competing in the World Robot Olympiad Future Innovators to prove that offline AI isn't a compromise—it's the smarter choice for real-world deployment. After WRO, we want to place Yantrax in museums and archaeological sites across India. Our goal is to make heritage preservation a solvable problem.
